Chingching Foocharoen, M.D., is a Professor of Internal Medicine in the Division of Rheumatology, Department of Medicine, Faculty of Medicine, Khon Kaen University, Thailand. She specializes in systemic sclerosis (scleroderma) and has dedicated her career to advancing research and clinical care in this field.
In 2012, she founded the Scleroderma Research Group at Khon Kaen University, where she continues to serve as its head. Under her leadership, the group has made significant contributions to the understanding and management of systemic sclerosis, particularly in the Thai population. Her research focuses on disease pathogenesis, clinical outcomes, and treatment strategies, aiming to improve the quality of life for patients with this complex autoimmune disorder.
As of today, she has authored more than 90 scientific publications indexed in the Scopus database, reflecting her extensive contributions to the field of rheumatology. Her work is widely recognized both nationally and internationally.
In addition to her research and teaching roles, Professor Foocharoen is a member of the APLAR (Asia-Pacific League of Associations for Rheumatology) Special Interest Group on Systemic Sclerosis, where she contributes to a regional research initiative aimed at improving the diagnosis and management of the disease.
Her dedication to systemic sclerosis research and patient care continues to drive advancements in rheumatology, establishing her as a key figure in the field.
