Dr. Lee graduated in The University of Hong Kong in 1990 and received rheumatology training in Queen Mary Hospital and St Vincent’s Hospital Sydney.
In 1998, Dr Lee set up the rheumatology service in Pamela Youde Nethersole Eastern Hospital. In 2003, he established the first Centre of Biologic Therapy in HK for patients with rheumatic disorders. In 2004, he introduced musculoskeletal ultrasound in his rheumatology unit and actively promoted MSK ultrasound locally and internationally. He organized many ultrasound training workshops and was invited as trainer in regional training courses. He was an accredited ultrasound trainer (TTT) under EULAR in 2014. In 2022, he is appointed as the co-convener of the Imaging SIG group of APLAR.
Dr Lee currently is the Director of the Rheumatology Centre of Hong Kong Sanatorium & Hospital. He is also the Honorary Associate Professor of both the University of Hong Kong and the Chinese University of Hong Kong. Dr Lee serve as the chairman of the Hong Kong Arthritis & Rheumatism Foundation since 2020.
