Seong-Soo Choi, MD, PhD is a practicing Anesthesiologist and Pain Physician. After graduating from College of Medicine, Hallym University, he received his Ph.D. in Neuropharmacology of the same university. Afterwards, he received clinical training at the Department of Anesthesiology and Pain Medicine, Asan Medical Center, and completed the Pain Medicine Fellowship. He is currently a Professor in the Department of Anesthesiology and Pain Medicine at Asan Medical Center and the University of Ulsan College of Medicine. He has served as a Director of Academic Affairs for the Korean Pain Society, a Director of Examination and Qualification for the Korean Society of Anesthesiologists, and a Director of Research and Development for the Korean Spinal Pain Society. He also serves as an advisor to several government agencies. His main research interests are interventional pain treatment, neuropathic pain, and anesthesia for otorhinolaryngology surgery. He has more than 140 multiple peer-reviewed publications.
