Hiroyuki Yamashita

Dr. Hiroyuki Yamashita is the Chief Physician of the Division of Rheumatic Diseases at the National Center for Global Health and Medicine (NCGM), part of the Japan Institute for Health and Science (JIHS) in Tokyo, Japan.
He has 20 years of clinical experience in rheumatology and internal medicine.
His main research focus is on the use of FDG-PET/CT and other imaging techniques to evaluate inflammatory activity in rheumatic diseases.
Dr. Yamashita has authored over 80 peer-reviewed publications in international journals and more than 25 in Japanese journals.
He is actively involved in the education and mentoring of junior physicians and fellows.
He regularly contributes to academic meetings in Japan and continues to advance translational research and clinical care in the field of rheumatology.
