Prof. Annamaria Iagnocco is Full Professor of Rheumatology and the Director of the Academic Rheumatology Centre at the University of Turin, Italy. She is the immediate EULAR Past President and a Member of the EULAR Presidency and of the EULAR Board. She is also a member of the Board of the BioMedical Alliance in Europe and the Chair of the Education Committee of the Bio-Medical Alliance. She is a member of the Council of the Clinical and Biological Sciences Department and a member of the Council of the School of Medicine at the University of Turin. She is the former Head of the EULAR School of Rheumatology, the former chair of the EULAR Standing Committee on Education and Training, the former co-chair of the OMERACT Ultrasound Group, the Chair of the Ultrasound Study Group of the Italian Society for Rheumatology, the Chair of the North Italian Research Network, and a member of several working groups on ultrasound and imaging in rheumatic and musculoskeletal diseases. She is a faculty teacher in the EULAR Sonography Courses and has been an invited speaker at the most prestigious international and national congresses, conferences and courses.
Her research interests include education, arthritis, and imaging in rheumatic and musculoskeletal diseases. She is involved in numerous national and international clinical trials and imaging studies on rheumatic and musculoskeletal diseases. She has authored over 430 peer-reviewed publications in the field and several books and book chapters. She is a co-Editor of the EULAR Textbook on Ultrasound in Rheumatology and of other international and national Rheumatology textbooks. She is a member of the Editorial Board of prestigious international journals and the Chief Editor of Frontiers in Musculoskeletal Disorders.
