Suparaporn Wangkaew

Professor Suparaporn Wangkaew, MD, is a Professor in the Division of Rheumatology, Department of Internal Medicine, Faculty of Medicine, Chiang Mai University, Chiang Mai, Thailand. She completed her training in internal medicine and rheumatology at Chiang Mai University and completed a postdoctoral research fellowship in a scleroderma program at the University of Michigan, Ann Arbor, USA. Her research focuses on early systemic sclerosis (SSc) in Northern Thai patients, with particular emphasis on cardiopulmonary complications. She has published more than 40 peer-reviewed articles in international journals and serves as the principal investigator of a long-standing inception cohort study in Northern Thai patients with early SSc. She is the editor of Systemic Sclerosis and Its Complications (2021) and participates in regional collaborative research through the APLAR Systemic Sclerosis Incident Cohort (APSSIC).
