Dr. Minako Tomiita is a pediatric rheumatologist, allergologist and the Medical Director of Chiba Children’s Hospital.
She graduated from the School of Medicine at Chiba University and holds a Ph.D.
She has long researched pediatric Sjögren’s disease (SjD) and received the 13th Academic Award from the Japanese Society for Sjögren’s Disease. Her goal is to develop an appropriate process to diagnose pediatric patients with SjD and prevent disease progression.
She is also a director of the Japanese Society for Sjögren’s Disease, an auditor of the Pediatric Rheumatology Association of Japan, a councilor of the Japanese College of Rheumatology, a delegate of the Japanese Society of Allergy, and an editorial board member of Modern Rheumatology Case Report.
In her free time, she loves watching musicals and singing songs.
