Prof Jin Kyun Park

Dr. Park is a Professor of Medicine and Chief of the Division of Rheumatology at Seoul National University Hospital in Seoul, Korea. He earned his medical degree from Heidelberg University Medical Faculty in Germany before pursuing a two-year postdoctoral fellowship in Immunology at the Mayo Clinic in Rochester, MN, and Emory University in Atlanta, GA. His research during this period focused on the role of T cell senescence in acute coronary syndrome.

Following his postdoctoral training, Dr. Park completed his internship and residency in Internal Medicine at the University of Florida, USA, and subsequently a clinical fellowship in Rheumatology at Johns Hopkins University in Baltimore, MD. He then joined the faculty at Seoul National University, where he currently leads the Division of Rheumatology.

Dr. Park’s research focuses on optimizing vaccination strategies for patients with rheumatic conditions, including investigating the impact of immunosuppressants on immune and vaccine responses. He is also involved in developing OMERACT outcome measures for clinical trials. Additionally, his work extends to the study of both inflammatory and non-inflammatory vasculopathies, with a particular focus on connective tissue associated vasculopathies.
