Daigo Nakazawa, MD, PhD, is Lecturer in the Division of Rheumatology and Nephrology at Hokkaido University Hospital, Japan. He graduated from Osaka Medical College in 2003 and completed his clinical training at Hokkaido University Hospital and affiliated institutions. He obtained his PhD from Hokkaido University in 2013, where he conducted basic and clinical research in ANCA-associated vasculitis. In 2015, he joined the Kidney Center at Ludwig Maximilian University of Munich, Germany, as a Humboldt Research Fellow. Then, he explored the role of neutrophil in acute kidney injury. After returning to Japan, he was appointed Assistant Professor in the Department of Rheumatology, Endocrinology and Nephrology at Hokkaido University. His research focuses on ANCA-associated vasculitis, neutrophil biology, NET formation, chronic kidney disease, and vascular diseases. He has received several national and international awards and serves on editorial boards of international nephrology journals.
