Dr Yaoyang Liu is an Associate Chief Physician at the Third Affiliated Hospital of Naval Medical University in Shanghai She earned her PhD in Rheumatology and Immunology from UCLA and a second PhD in Clinical Laboratory Diagnostics from Naval Medical University Her research focuses on systemic lupus erythematosus and ankylosing spondylitis particularly Bcell anergy reversal and immune regulation Dr Liu has led multiple NSFC projects and published in journals including Ann Rheum Dis She received the Shanghai Oriental Talent Young Investigator Award and a First Prize of Shanghai Science and Technology Progress Award She also holds several patents and serves as a corresponding author for recent immunology publications
