Andrea Doria, MD, is Professor of Rheumatology and Senior Scientist at the University of Padua School of Medicine, Italy.
He currently serves as President of the Italian Society of Rheumatology.
He previously led the Rheumatology Unit at the University of Padua, which, under his leadership, was designated a EULAR Centre of Excellence in Rheumatology (2022–2027).
In 2016, he founded the European Lupus Society (SLEuro) and served as the first President of its Executive Committee. He currently serves as Treasurer of the Society. He is also a member of the Lupus Academy Steering Committee, the Systemic Lupus Erythematosus International Collaborating Clinics (SLICC) group, and the OMERACT SLE Working Group.
Professor Doria has contributed as an expert to the EULAR Standing Committee for the development of clinical and therapeutic recommendations.
He has authored more than 600 ISI-indexed publications (Scopus H-index: 97) and serves on the editorial boards of several international journals.
