Professor Tash Arkachaisri is a Professor at Duke-NUS Medical School and Head of Rheumatology at KK Women’s and Children’s Hospital, Singapore. A pioneer in his field, he developed the Localized Scleroderma Cutaneous Assessment Tool (LoSCAT), now the global standard for outcome measures in localized scleroderma. His extensive publications have significantly advanced the understanding of childhood-onset rheumatic diseases across the Asia-Pacific. His research provides critical insights into the epidemiology and clinical outcomes of juvenile idiopathic arthritis (JIA), systemic lupus erythematosus (SLE), and systemic vasculitides. In 2024, he led the APLAR task force to establish the first Asia-Pacific clinical practice guidelines for JIA. Beyond research, he founded the AsPREN network to foster regional collaboration. Under his leadership, his clinical program have been designated as Centers of Excellence by both the World Allergy Organization and APLAR, reflecting his dual commitment to clinical innovation and improved patient outcomes.
