Dr Eva Christina Schwaneck

Dr. Eva Christina Schwaneck is a board-certified specialist in Internal Medicine and Rheumatology with extensive expertise in the diagnosis and management of inflammatory rheumatic and autoimmune diseases. Following her medical studies and doctoral training at Philipps University Marburg, she completed her specialist training at the University Hospital Würzburg, where she subsequently served as a consultant in the Department of Medicine II. From 2020 to 2023, she was Head of the Section of Rheumatology and Clinical Immunology at Asklepios Klinik Altona in Hamburg. In 2020, she obtained her habilitation in Internal Medicine, highlighting her strong commitment to clinical research and academic teaching.

Since 2023, Dr. Schwaneck has been Managing Director of MVZ Rheumatology Hamburg, one of the largest outpatient rheumatology centers in Germany, providing specialized care for approximately 15.000 patients. In this role, she combines clinical excellence with strategic leadership and healthcare management. Her clinical and scientific interests focus on inflammatory rheumatic diseases, clinical immunology, personalized treatment strategies, and the optimization of patient care. She is actively involved in research, professional education, and interdisciplinary collaboration, contributing to the advancement of rheumatology in both clinical practice and academia.

Her medical training was complemented by international clinical experience, including a rotation at St. John’s Medical College and Hospital in Bangalore, India, during her practical year, providing valuable insights into global healthcare systems and diverse patient populations.
