Swee-Ping Tang

Dr. Swee-Ping Tang is a Senior Consultant Paediatrician and Paediatric Rheumatologist, and Head of Paediatrics at Selayang Hospital. She serves as Co-Convenor of the Paediatric Rheumatology SIG of APLAR. A graduate of University of Malaya, Kuala Lumpur and a Fellow of the Royal College of Paediatrics and Child Health (UK), she completed her paediatric rheumatology fellowship training in Malaysia as well as at Birmingham Children’s Hospital and Great Ormond Street Hospital, United Kingdom.
Dr. Tang established and leads Malaysia’s first paediatric rheumatology tertiary referral centre, playing a pivotal role in advancing subspecialty care nationally. She is also the National Lead Examiner for MRCPCH (UK), an active clinical researcher with book chapters and peer-reviewed publications, and Deputy Chairperson of the Malaysian Medical Research and Ethics Committee. She is also a dedicated mentor and patient advocate.
