Vidya Limaye is a staff specialist Rheumatologist at the Royal Adelaide Hospital. With clinical and research expertise in the inflammatory myopathies, she established the South Australian Myositis Database. This is a large repository of over 1000 patients with myositis and has enabled the study of clinical, epidemiological and immunogenetic aspects of inflammatory myopathies. She is involved in inflammatory myopathy research through APLAR collaborations and is a current member of IMACS Scientific Committee.
