Clinical Review Course for RMDs

Synopsis:

This workshop offers a comprehensive clinical review of major rheumatic diseases, integrating updated therapeutic strategies with essential principles of interventional rheumatology relevant to contemporary clinical practice.

  • Session 1: Major Disease Update Review (I) will focus on rheumatoid arthritis, psoriatic arthritis, and systemic lupus erythematosus. Key topics include treat-to-target strategies in rheumatoid arthritis, domain-based and pathway-based treatment approaches in psoriatic arthritis, and comprehensive management of systemic lupus erythematosus, addressing both renal and non-renal involvement. The session aims to provide a structured framework for optimal treatment selection amid increasingly complex therapeutic landscapes.
  • Session 2: Major Disease Update Review (II) will cover systemic sclerosis, idiopathic inflammatory myopathies, ANCA-associated vasculitis, and crystal arthropathies, including gout and calcium pyrophosphate deposition (CPPD) disease. Emphasis will be placed on standard treatment strategies, diagnostic approaches, and practical management aimed at early detection and prevention of organ involvement and long-term complications.
  • Session 3: Interventional Rheumatology Essentials will address the role of imaging in treatment monitoring, regenerative interventions, and interventional spine procedures. This session highlights indications, clinical applicability, and safety considerations of interventional approaches, supporting rheumatologists in expanding their procedural expertise and optimizing patient outcomes.
Designed as a high-yield clinical review, this workshop is intended for rheumatologists and trainees seeking to translate recent advances into effective real-world practice.
