Professor Ved Chaturvedi is a senior Rheumatologist in India with over 30 years of experience in academic rheumatology. He has served as both Vice President and President of the Indian Rheumatology Association. Additionally, he was Vice President of the Asia Pacific League of Associations for Rheumatology (APLAR) and currently holds the position of Deputy Secretary General of APLAR.
With over three decades of service with the Government of India, Professor Chaturvedi is now a professor of Rheumatology at a leading corporate hospital in New Delhi. He is a pioneer in establishing musculoskeletal ultrasound and biologics in the treatment of rheumatic diseases since 2003. Remarkably, he is the only rheumatologist who performs arthroscopy, and his research focuses on spondyloarthropathy and Rheumatology ultrasound.
Professor Chaturvedi was the editor of the prestigious book “Manual of Rheumatology,” published by the Indian Rheumatology Association. He has also served as the scientific chairman of two national conferences of the Indian Rheumatology Association and was the organizing secretary for the association’s annual conference.
