Associate Professor Sumapa Chaiamnuay graduated from the Faculty of Medicine, Chulalongkorn University, Southeast Asia. She completed her Internal Medicine residency at Albert Einstein Medical Center, Philadelphia, followed by a Rheumatology fellowship at the University of Alabama at Birmingham.

She previously served as Secretary of the Thai Osteoporosis Foundation and as Academic Vice President of the Thai Rheumatism Association. Currently, she is a committee member of the Thai Rheumatism Association, Chief of Public Relations for the Thai Osteoporosis Foundation, and Head of the Rheumatic Disease Unit at Phramongkutklao Hospital. Additionally, she serves as Co-Convenor of the APLAR Osteoporosis Special Interest Group. Her primary research focus is osteoporosis in patients with rheumatic diseases
