Noriko Komatsu graduated from The University of Tokyo (Faculty of Pharmaceutical Sciences) in 2003. She obtained her Master’s degree from The University of Tokyo (Graduate School of Pharmaceutical Science) and PhD from Chiba University (Graduate School of Medicine) in 2008. After RIKEN Special Postdoctoral Researcher (Dr. Shohei Hori’s lab) and JSPS PD, she became Assistant Professor and then Associate professor at the Graduate School of Medicine and Faculty of Medicine, The University of Tokyo (Prof. Hiroshi Takayanagi’s lab). In 2024, She became Professor of Medical Research Laboratory, Tokyo Dental and Medical University (currently, Institute of Science Tokyo), further advancing her research in the field of autoimmunity. Her research interests focus on the immune-mesenchymal-bone interaction in autoimmune arthritis.
