Natsuko Nakagawa graduated from Kobe University School of Medicine in March 1985 and began her medical career the following month by joining the Department of Orthopaedic Surgery at Kobe University. She served as a resident at Kobe University Hospital before entering the university’s graduate school in April 1986. She completed her graduate studies in March 1990, earning her doctoral degree. From April 1990 to May 1995, she worked at Kobe Workers’ Compensation Hospital and other affiliated institutions. Between October 1998 and December 2000, she was affiliated with Kakogawa National Hospital, transitioning in December 2000 to become Director of Orthopedic Surgery at Konan Kakogawa Hospital following the hospital’s transfer. In April 2007, she was appointed Medical Director, and in October 2009, she became Deputy Director of the Center for Rheumatology and Collagen Diseases. Since April 2016, she has served as Director of the Department of Rheumatology and Orthopedics at Hyogo Prefectural Kakogawa Medical Center, concurrently holding the role of Director of the Center for Rheumatology and Collagen Diseases. She was appointed Deputy Director of the Center in April 2020 and assumed the role of Director in April 2023.
