Julie Li-Yu is an Associate Professor at the University of Santo Tomas (UST) Faculty of Medicine and Surgery and currently serves as Chairman of the Department of Internal Medicine at the University of Santo Tomas Hospital in Manila, Philippines. She also leads the Section of Rheumatology at both the Chinese General Hospital and Medical Center (CGHMC) and UST Faculty of Medicine and Surgery. At CGHMC, she chairs the Department of Medical Education and Research. Regionally, she holds leadership roles as Chair of the Asia Pacific League of Associations for Rheumatology (APLAR) and the Philippine Rheumatology Association (PRA) Special Interest Group on Osteoporosis. She also serves as Vice-Chair of the Asia Pacific Panel of the International Society for Clinical Densitometry (ISCD) and is a Council Member of the Asian Federation of Osteoporosis Societies. Her past leadership includes serving as President of both the Osteoporosis Society of the Philippines Foundation, Inc. (OSPFI) and the Philippine Rheumatology Association (PRA).
