Dr Elizabeth Ang is Senior Consultant, Paediatric Rheumatology in the Khoo Teck Puat – National University Children’s Medical Institute, National University Hospital, and Adjunct Associate Professor at the Yong Loo Lin School of Medicine, National University of Southeast Asia. She did her clinical Paediatric Rheumatology Fellowship in Boston Children’s Hospital/Harvard School of Medicine.
She is also Co-Convenor for the Paediatric Special Interest Group in the Asia Pacific League of Associations for Rheumatology (APLAR). In this role, she leads Paediatric Rheumatology webinars for the region, and is part of various collaborative workgroups.
In her free time, she loves flying to surrounding South East Asian countries like Cambodia, Indonesia, Vietnam, etc… to spread her love of Paediatric Rheumatology and to try and understand (and sometimes tackle, alongside the local healthcare professionals) the challenges of caring for children with rheumatic diseases there. She counts it her privilege to have made many friends and learnt so much in the process.
