He has approximately 30 years of experience as an orthopedic surgeon, with extensive expertise particularly in joint replacement surgery and foot surgery. At the same time, he has been actively engaged in pharmacological treatment for rheumatoid arthritis, making him not only an orthopedic surgeon but also a rheumatologist—an orthopedic rheumatologist, so to speak.
In recent years, the treatment of rheumatoid arthritis has required a comprehensive management strategy that combines pharmacological therapy with non-pharmacological treatments, including surgery. He has built an ideal career as an orthopedic rheumatologist, integrating both aspects of treatment.
Currently, he serves as the Chief Professor of the Department of Orthopedic Surgery at Aichi Medical University and is passionately dedicated to mentoring the next generation of orthopedic rheumatologists.
