Since 2017, Professor Nakajima has served as a Professor in the Department of Rheumatology at Mie University Graduate School of Medicine in Mie, Japan. She began her academic career in 1996 at the Institute of Rheumatology, Tokyo Women’s Medical University, in Tokyo, Japan. From 1999 to 2001, she pursued advanced training in the Department of Rheumatology at Massachusetts General Hospital, Harvard University, in the United States. In 2010, she was appointed Associate Professor at the Institute of Rheumatology, Tokyo Women’s Medical University.
