Akio Morinobu

Dr. Morinobu graduated from the Faculty of Medicine at Kyoto University. He received his Ph.D. from Kyoto University and worked as a researcher at the National Institute of Arthritis and Musculoskeletal and Skin Diseases of the National Institutes of Health. After working as an associate professor in the Department of Rheumatology at Kobe University, he accepted his current position as a professor in the Department of Rheumatology and Clinical Immunology at the Graduate School of Medicine at Kyoto University. He is working as both a rheumatologist and a researcher to elucidate the pathogenesis of rheumatic diseases and to develop treatments from a mechanistic perspective.
