Shiyan Gu is a third year undergraduate student at Shanghai Jiao Tong University School of Medicine Her research focuses on B cells in antiphospholipid syndrome APS with particular interest in the mechanisms underlying the emergence and pathogenicity of disease associated B cell clones She is involved in studies integrating singlecell transcriptomic and Bcell receptor repertoire analyses with wholeexome sequencing to investigate clonal Bcell features and potential genetic contributors in APSassociated monoclonal immunoglobulins Her work applies bioinformatic approaches ito explore the relationship between Bcell clonality antibody pathogenicity and disease manifestations Through this research she aims to better understand the cellular and molecular basis of pathogenic B cell responses in autoimmune disease
