Professor Seokchan Hong is a Professor in the Division of Rheumatology at the University of Ulsan College of Medicine and Asan Medical Center in Seoul, Korea. He received his medical degree from Inje University College of Medicine and completed his residency training in Internal Medicine, followed by a clinical fellowship in Rheumatology at Asan Medical Center.
Professor Hong’s research focuses on the pathogenesis of autoimmune diseases, with a particular emphasis on translational research in lupus nephritis. His work aims to bridge clinical observations with mechanistic insights to better understand immune-mediated kidney injury and to identify potential therapeutic targets for systemic autoimmune diseases.
