Prof Paul Bird

Professor Paul Bird is an experienced clinician and researcher, with 25 years of experience. He has broad experience across all phases of clinical trials and diverse trial expertise, from vaccine trials to chronic diseases including rheumatology, neurology, endocrinology, nephrology. He has been Principal Investigator in over 200+ clinical trials. Professor Bird is a specialist rheumatologist and general physician bringing a wealth of experience to trial environment. He is a member of the Australasian College of Physicians and has completed a PhD in Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI) and rheumatoid arthritis, as well as a Graduate Diploma in MRI. Internationally recognised as a specialist in rheumatic disease and imaging, he is the current Chair of the International MRI Research Association and actively participates in national and international rheumatology research with colleagues.
