Dr. Mary Beth Son attended the University of Massachusetts Medical School and completed internship, residency and chief residency in Pediatrics at Boston Children’s Hospital (BCH), followed by fellowship in Pediatric Rheumatology at BCH. She is an Associate Professor of Pediatrics at Harvard Medical School and holds the Fred S. Rosen Chair in Pediatrics. Dr. Son is the Section Chief of Pediatric Rheumatology and Clinical Chief of the Division of Immunology. She pursues clinical research and has received funding from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, the NIH, and the American Heart Association to support her research interests, including outcomes in childhood-onset Systemic Lupus Erythematosus and Kawasaki Disease.
