James Cheng-Chung Wei, MD, PhD, FACR, is a professor at Chung Shan Medical University and Vice Superintendent of Chung Shan Medical University Hospital. As an attending physician in allergy, immunology, and rheumatology, and Director of the Clinical Trial Center, Dr. Wei leads both clinical practice and research. He is President of the Taiwan Medical Big Data Research Association and Editor-in-Chief of the International Journal of Rheumatic Diseases. Dr. Wei trained at Taichung and Kaohsiung Veterans General Hospitals, with fellowships at the Royal National Hospital for Rheumatic Diseases (UK) and UCLA. With over 600 SCI publications in journals such as NEJM, JAMA, the Lancet, and Annals of the Rheumatic Diseases, Dr. Wei focuses on translational research in ankylosing spondylitis, clinical trials, and big data in rheumatology. He is a full member of ACR, GRAPPA, ASAS, and serves on the scientific advisory board of APALR.
