Dr. Hanan Al Rayes is a Senior Consultant Rheumatologist at Prince Sultan Military Medical City (PSMMC), Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, and President of the Saudi Society for Rheumatology. She serves as Deputy Director of the Department of Medicine, Director of the Rheumatology Fellowship Program, and Chair of the Evidence-Based Medicine Committee at PSMMC. Dr. Al Rayes completed her rheumatology fellowship at King Faisal Specialist Hospital and a clinical and research fellowship in systemic lupus erythematosus at the University of Toronto, Canada. Her research interests include systemic lupus erythematosus, rheumatoid arthritis, spondyloarthritis, pregnancy in rheumatic diseases, biologic therapies, and clinical guideline development. She is the founder of the Saudi Arthritis Registry and has led multiple national clinical practice guidelines. Dr. Al Rayes has authored numerous peer-reviewed publications and is Editor-in-Chief of the Annals of Arthritis and Autoimmunity.
