Dr.Alhanouf Alsaleem received her medical degree from the King Saud University in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia.She completed her pediatric residency training at King Faisal Specialist Hospital and Research Centre (KFSHRC). She subsequently pursued fellowship training in pediatric rheumatology at The Hospital for Sick Children (Toronto, CA). Following her fellowship, Dr. Alhanouf completed advanced subspecialty training as a post doc research fellow at the Translational Autoinflammatory Diseases Section at the National Institutes of Health (Bethesda, USA) and she continued her research work as a guest researcher at the NIH. Currently, Dr. Alhanouf serves as the Program Director of the Pediatric Rheumatology Fellowship Training Program at KFSHRC. Alongside her senior colleague, Dr. Suleiman Al-Maayouf, they co-founded the Autoinflammatory Disease Specialized Clinic at KFSHRC to advance patient care, translational research, and clinical research for patients with rare autoinflammatory and immune dysregulation conditions. Dr. Alhanoufs research focuses on the development of international registries for systemic autoinflammatory diseases and immune dysregulation disorders across the Asia-Pacific and MENA regions. Her research work particularly centered on the evolving landscape of autoinflammatory diseases, with a special emphasis on genetic discoveries, translational and clinical research.
