Hoon-Suk Cha, MD, PhD, is Professor of Rheumatology at Sungkyunkwan University School of Medicine and Samsung Medical Center in Seoul, Korea. He received his MD, MS, and PhD degrees from Seoul National University College of Medicine and completed a research fellowship at the University of California, San Diego. Dr. Cha served as Head of the Division of Rheumatology at Samsung Medical Center from 2011 to 2021. Within the Korean College of Rheumatology, he has served as Secretary General, Scientific Affairs Director, and Treasurer, and most recently as Chairman of the Board from 2024 to 2026. He also served as President of the Korean Spondyloarthritis Research Society and currently serves as Chairman of the Rheumatology Research Foundation. His main clinical and research interests are spondyloarthritis and vasculitis.
