Tae Jong Kim is a Professor of Rheumatology at Chonnam National University Medical School and Hospital He earned his Medical Degree in 1998 and a PhD in Immunology and Rheumatology in 2008 both from Hanyang University In 2009 his expertise was internationally recognized as he became a full member of the Assessment of SpondyloArthritis International Society ASAS in South Korea From 2014 to 2016 Professor Kim advanced his research at the University of Oxford in Professor Bownesss Lab focusing on the functional role of Th17 cells in ankylosing spondylitis To date he has contributed over 100 peer reviewed papers to prominent clinical and scientific journals His current research and clinical interests focus on inflammatory arthritis and systemic autoimmune diseases including Sjogrens disease
