A consultant rheumatologist at the Centre for Rheumatology, Calicut, Dr Vinod Ravindran, is the co-convener of APLAR SIG for Women’s Health & Reproductive Issues in RMDs and also the convener of the Indian Rheumatology Association’s Reproductive Rheumatology SIG. His academic roles include Adjunct Professor of Medicine at the Kasturba Medical College, Manipal, India, and Co-Editor of the leading journal, Rheumatology (Oxford). He has an active portfolio of collaborative research and is an avid contributor to medical literature with over 225 publications, 11 books, 38 book chapters, and 4 journal supplements. He has over 2200 citations, an H index of 22, and an i10 index of 42. He received the Nature Travel Award in 2013 and was awarded the prestigious IRA Oration 2023 and IMA’s Prof Shridhar Sharma Oration 2023. He is the president-elect of the Indian Rheumatology Association.
