He graduated from School of Medicine, University of Tsukuba, in March 2002. He completed Division of Clinical Immunology, Doctoral Program in Clinical Sciences, Graduate School of Comprehensive Human Sciences, University of Tsukuba, in March 2011. He received International Workshop Award of the Japan College of Rheumatology in April 2009, Young Investigator’s Award of the Japanese Society of Internal Medicine in April 2010, Young Investigator’s Award of the Japanese Society for Sjögren’s Syndrome in September 2011, Tadamitsu Kishimoto International Travel Award of the Japanese Society for Immunology in October 2012, Young Investigator’s Award of the Japan College of Rheumatology in April 2017, Excellent Paper Award of the Japanese Society for Clinical Rheumatology and Related Research in November 2018, and the Japanese Society for Sjögren’s Syndrome Award in September 2023.
