Sandra Navarra

Sandra Navarra is Professor of Internal Medicine – Rheumatology at University of Santo Tomas, Manila, Philippines. She is Director of the Lupus Inspired Advocacy (LUISA), administered by Rheumatology Educational Trust Foundation Inc (RETFI). Professor Navarra is a member of the Lupus Academy Steering Committee, and a founding and executive board member of both Asia Pacific Lupus Collaboration (APLC) and Asian Lupus Nephritis Network (ALNN). She has pioneered several physician and lay education projects including the Applied Rheumatology Made Simple (ARMS) and the Patient Partners in Medical Education program modules.
Professor Navarra has published widely in the field of rheumatic diseases and is the recipient of several university, national and regional awards for her contributions to education and research, including the Philippine College of Physicians (PCP) Most Distinguished Physician award, and the Asia Pacific League of Associations for Rheumatology (APLAR) Master award.
