Masayuki Nishide

Masayuki Nishide graduated from Osaka University School of Medicine in 2007 and completed his initial clinical training at NTT West Japan Osaka Hospital in 2010. After earning his PhD in 2017 from Osaka University, he continued his academic career as an Assistant Professor at Osaka University. From 2020 to 2021, he conducted research as a fellow at Harvard Medical School’s Brigham and Women’s Hospital. In 2025, he was appointed as Director of Clinical Immunology at The University Osaka Hospital. Dr. Nishide is an active member of the Japan College of Rheumatology and a board member of the APLAR young rheumatologists. His expertise lies in investigating the mechanisms of granulocyte activation in immune diseases, with a recent focus on single-cell analyses to identify pathogenic cell subsets in ANCA-associated vasculitis (Nat Commun 2023, manuscripts in revision). His translational research integrates clinical insights and advanced omics, emphasizing patient-centered discoveries (Nat Rev Immunol 2024).
