Dr. Sathish Kumar is working as professor of pediatrics and head of pediatric rheumatology division in the Department of pediatrics in Christian Medical College, Vellore which is affiliated to Dr MGR Medical University in South Asia. After his pediatric residency training (MD & DCH) in CMC, Vellore, he underwent clinical fellowship in Pediatric rheumatology followed by Geoff Karr lupus research fellowship in Hospital for Sick children, Toronto from 2006 t0 2009. Then he started Pediatric rheumatology services in CMC, Vellore along with Dr. Debashish Danda (APLAR president). He has 104 publications in national and international journals. He is associate Editor of International journal of rheumatic diseases and South Asian Journal of Rheumatology. He is also reviewer of various national and international Paediatric rheumatology and Rheumatology journals. His research interests are auto-inflammatory disorders and autoimmune disorders (such as SLE, JDM, JIA and MAS).
