Yutaka Kawahito, M.D., Ph.D., is a professor at Kyoto Prefectural University of Medicine and the head of the Department of Inflammation and Immunology. After graduating from Shimane University Faculty of Medicine, he received his M.D. from Kyoto Prefectural University of Medicine in 1995. He worked as a researcher at the National Institute of Arthritis and Musculoskeletal and Skin Diseases (NIAMS) from 1995 to 1998, and has been engaged in clinical and basic research at Kyoto Prefectural University of Medicine since 2000, and has held his current position since 2011. He is also involved in a number of activities, including serving as chairman of many committees of JCR and as chair of the CPG Committee for the JCR Clinical Practice Guidelines for the Management of Rheumatoid Arthritis 2024.
