After MRCP (London), and rheumatology training in South Asia, she cleared the U.K. Rheumatology Specialist Examination. She is International Fellow of American College of Physicians (FACP) & Rheumatology (FACR), and Fellow Royal College of Physicians & Surgeons, London. Based in Lahore she is Professor and Head of Rheumatology Department National Hospital Postgraduate Training & Medical Centre, Visiting Faculty & Chair Paediatric Rheumatology, Institute of Rheumatic Diseases Central Park Teaching Hospital & Medical college, Visiting Rheumatology Faculty Fatima Jinnah Medical University and University of Health Sciences.
She is Supervisor and Examiner, Discipline of Rheumatology, College of Physicians & Surgeons South Asia.
Primarily an adult rheumatologist, she interned in Pediatric Rheumatology, Kansas University Medical Centre, USA through an ACP International Fellowship; and acquired the Graduate Certificate in Paediatric Rheumatology, from the University of Western Australia. Thereafter, she pioneered pediatric rheumatology clinics within adult rheumatology services in Lahore.
She is Past President, South Asia Society for Rheumatology (PSR) & presently PSR Council Member.
She is Associate Editor International Journal Rheumatic Diseases.
She is a member of the Steering Committee, Global Paediatric MSK Task Force, and on PMM editorial board.
She is Convener APLAR Paediatric Rheumatology SIG.
She is Vice President APLAR.
She is Founder Trustee & Co-Chairperson, Arthritis Care Foundation, Lahore, South Asia.
