Professor Abramino Levy worked as Adjunct Professor of Rheumatology at The State University of Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, from 1996 to 2017.
He completed a Rheumatology fellowship in 1989 at HSS/Cornell University Medical College and an Immunology PhD in The Federal University of Rio de Janeiro in 1994.
He has published >300 scientific papers in peer reviewed journals with >14,000 citations and an h-index of 50.
He has been an ACR member since 1986, and of EULAR, PANLAR and other medical associations. Professor Abramino Levy has received several prizes and honors during his career dedicated to the research in autoimmunity and care of people living with systemic autoimmune conditions and was a founding member of the Lupus Academy in 2011.
He joined GSK in early 2018 and is currently a Senior Global Medical Director in the Specialty and Medical Care franchise, based in Pennsylvania, USA.
