Dr. Koichiro Yano is an Associate Professor in the Department of Orthopedic Surgery, Section of Surgery for Inflammatory Arthritis, at Tokyo Women’s Medical University. He received his M.D. from Toyama Medical and Pharmaceutical University in 2004 and earned his Ph.D. from Tokyo Women’s Medical University in 2016. He is board-certified in orthopaedic surgery and rheumatology in Japan.
Dr. Yano has extensive experience in the surgical management of rheumatoid arthritis, particularly in joint-preserving foot and ankle surgery. He has published several peer-reviewed articles in leading journals, including The Journal of Bone and Joint Surgery and Modern Rheumatology. His current research interests include surgical outcomes and patient-reported measures in rheumatoid foot deformities.
With over two decades of clinical and academic experience, Dr. Yano continues to contribute to advancements in rheumatologic orthopaedic care, education, and research.
