Keiju Hiromura

Prof. Keiju Hiromura graduated from the Faculty of Medicine at Gunma University in 1989 and earned his doctorate from the same institution in 1995. He began his clinical career as a resident in the Third Department of Internal Medicine at Gunma University. From 1998 to 2000, he conducted research at the Division of Nephrology at the University of Washington in Seattle. Upon returning to Gunma University Hospital, he served as an assistant professor and later as an associate professor in the Department of Medicine and Clinical Science. Since 2018, he has been a professor in the Department of Nephrology and Rheumatology. In 2024, he was also appointed Special Vice Director of the hospital, overseeing regional collaboration and hospital function evaluation. His research primarily focuses on nephrology and rheumatology, with a particular emphasis on the pathophysiology and clinical management of lupus nephritis.
