Dr Jose Paulo P. Lorenzo practices Rheumatology in Manila, Philippines. He is an active consultant at the Makati Medical Center and University of the Philippines – Philippine General Hospital (UP-PGH).
Dr Lorenzo is the current President-Elect of APLAR and the convener of the APLAR Crystal-induced Arthritis Special Interest Group (SIG). He spearheaded the 2021 APLAR gout management Clinical Practice Guidelines (CPG) published early this year. He is also involved in the APLAR Gout registry.
Dr Lorenzo has been a Principal Investigator in clinical trials assessing novel pharmacotherapies for the treatment of rheumatoid arthritis and systemic lupus erythematosus. He has recently focused his research interests in Gout in the Philippines.
