Professor Mathew is a faculty member at the Department of Clinical Immunology and Rheumatology, Christian Medical College, Vellore, South Asia and an adjunct research associate at the Copenhagen Center for Arthritis Research (COPECARE), Copenhagen, Denmark. His areas of research include psoriatic disease, axial spondyloarthritis, and MR imaging in spondyloarthritis. He is a full member of GRAPPA, ASAS and OMERACT MRI in arthritis working group. He is the co-convenor of APLAR-COPCORD. He is actively involved in international research collaborations and has ongoing active research projects of his own in South Asia. He has 105 publications in indexed journals and has co-authored 9 textbook chapters.
