Anindita Santosa

Dr. Anindita Santosa is a distinguished rheumatologist with years of experience in caring for adults with rheumatologic and allergic conditions. She is recognised for her compassionate and innovative approach to patient care. With an extensive background in rheumatology and allergies, Dr. Santosa combines deep clinical expertise with a heartfelt commitment to patient education, empowerment, and advocacy.

After earning her MBBS from the prestigious Yong Loo Lin School of Medicine at the National University of Singapore in 2008, Dr. Santosa completed her Basic Specialty Training in Internal Medicine and earned membership in the Royal College of Physicians (UK, London) in 2013. She refined her specialty in rheumatology through an an ACGME-I (Accreditation Council for Graduate Medical Education – International) accredited senior residency program at Tan Tock Seng Hospital’s Department of Rheumatology, Allergy, and Immunology, achieving specialist accreditation in 2017. Further enhancing her credentials, Dr. Santosa obtained a Master’s degree in Allergy from Imperial College London and completed a further two-year clinical training program in Clinical Immunology and Allergy across three renowned institutions in Singapore (National University Hospital Singapore, Tan Tock Seng Hospital and Singapore General Hospital) in November 2023.

Dr. Santosa’s clinical interests span a variety of autoimmune and rheumatic conditions including arthritis, osteoporosis, and complex connective tissue diseases, with a particular focus on systemic lupus erythematosus, systemic sclerosis and connective-tissue-disease-associated pulmonary hypertension. She also has a strong interest in immunologic disorders such as allergies and immunodeficiencies.

Dr. Santosa served as a consultant and the head of the Division of Rheumatology at Changi General Hospital, where she pioneered services for connective tissue disease-associated pulmonary hypertension in collaboration with the Cardiology department and established a nailfold capillaroscopy service. A fervent advocate for technology in healthcare, she led the SingHealth RheumConnect chatbot project, enhancing patient education and facilitating early diagnosis of autoimmune diseases. She currently is working on developing condition specific AI-supported cross-border Rheumatology care.
