The Organising Committee of the Combined New Zealand Rheumatology Association (NZRA) and Australian Rheumatology Association (ARA) Annual Scientific Meeting successfully hosted a face-to-face meeting held in Christchurch, New Zealand over 4 days from 18-21 May 2024.

The conference marked the first Rheumatology Annual Scientific Meeting held in Christchurch since 2010 due to the Christchurch earthquakes. The meeting was hosted at Te Pae, a new convention centre in the heart of the rebuilt city.
The main themes of the meeting were crystal arthritis and vasculitis with others including RA-ILD, therapeutics and regional musculoskeletal disorders, which includes the main paediatric theme of TMJ involvement.
