Isaac Tsz Ho Cheng

Dr. Isaac Cheng Tsz-Ho has been actively involved in rheumatology research at the Rheumatology Research Centre within the Department of Medicine and Therapeutics at The Chinese University of Hong Kong since 2014. His research primarily focuses on investigating co-morbidities in patients with inflammatory arthritis, with a particular emphasis on cardiovascular disease and radiographic damage. He utilizes advanced imaging techniques such as high-resolution peripheral quantitative computed tomography (HR-pQCT) and low-dose computed tomography (ldCT) to study and evaluate these conditions in detail. Dr. Cheng also possesses experience in conducting multi-center clinical trials and managing regional registries. Since 2018, he has served as the facilitator of the APLAR SpA registry.

Dr. Cheng has presented his work at numerous international and regional rheumatology conferences. Notably, he received the Best Presenter award at the International Conference of Chinese Rheumatologist (ICCR) and the Best Abstract Award at the Asia Pacific League of Associations for Rheumatology (APLAR) congress in 2022. In addition, he was honored with the Young Investigator Award at the Quantitative Musculoskeletal Imaging (QMSKI) conference in 2019 and presented his work in the GRAPPA meeting 2024 and 2025. He is also actively engaging in Y-GRAPPA communities and is currently a sub-committee in the newsletter group.
