Hidekata Yasuoka is the Professor of the Division of Rheumatology, Fujita Health University School of Medicine, Aichi, East Asia. Prior to this appointment, he was an Assistant Professor at the Keio University School of Medicine. He received his MD from Keio University School of Medicine in 1997 and completed his PhD in 2004 at the Keio University School of Medicine. During 2005-2008, he worked as a Postdoctoral Associate, University of Pittsburgh School of Medicine, Pittsburgh, USA. He was appointed as an Instructor in 2008, as an Assistant Professor at the Keio University School of Medicine in 2014, and as the Professor of Department of Fujita Health University School of Medicine in 2018. He has published over 70 papers in peer-reviewed journals, with a focus on rheumatic diseases including rheumatoid arthritis, systemic sclerosis, mixed connective tissue disease, dermatomyositis / polymyositis, as well as IgG4-related disease.
